Technology Affecting Society
Technology has improved drastically throughout the years. Evolving from small things that barely affect daily life, to something that almost everyone uses daily. Technology allows things to be very efficient, however it could also negatively impact society.
Some Positive Effects Technology has
-Easier access to everything
Technology causes it so virtually everything is available for people to use. Researching is simpler and finding things on the internet is also more efficient.
-Entertainment is endless
Finding something to entertain you is much easier with technology. Technology is made almost just to entertain people.
-Communication applications
Technology allows people from Japan to easily talk to friends or family from across the world in the United States, or anywhere else in the world. It causes the world to seem smaller and distance isn't a great factor anymore.
Some Negative Effects Technology has
- Less social interactions
Due to technology, social interactions are not greatly required to live.
-Children becoming worse
The next generations in general can become worse due to technology. Because of all the freedom children can have on the internet, it could cause an issue, and has in the past. It could become worse.
-Anxiety from being separated from technology
Being away from technology can cause separation anxiety for some people.
There are many positive effects of technology, as well as negative effects. It will be interesting to view how technology advances even more. As well as viewing if the positive will outweigh the negative, or possibly the opposite will occur.

Your blog was very easy to read and interesting. It is true that technology has negative effects but I feel like humans would have such a hard time without it. The points you brought up are very true and apply to even my daily life. Hopefully technology will be greatly improved and we can ride things like hoverboards.
ReplyDeleteI like the way your blog is set up. The format makes it really easy scan through while taking in the information. The thing I want to touch on is the negative effect of technology. Awhile ago, I read an article that talked about how technology is taking an effect on how well people can hold a conversation. With texting, email, and social media, people are able to take time and think before responding to others; whereas with conversation, people aren't really allowed a long period of time to think about what they're going to say. If people some time out of their day to put down their technological devices and have a real, meaningful conversation, they might be able to help this rising conflict. By doing this, they can also work to help relieve the anxiety they face when away from technology.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog very simple, easy to understand, as well as interesting. I agree with your point that technology has negative effects on people as well as positive effects. However, I must agree with Kristina about how humans would have a hard time without technology. Without technology, our buildings would take longer to build and would be less safe, our communication with people far away as well as transportation to places far away would be greatly limited, as well as many other things people need technology for. Lastly, in response to your conclusion, I believe that the positive about technology outweighs the negative. I look forward to reading your next post.
ReplyDeleteI really like the way your formatted your blog. Having your topics categorized and in bullet points makes it simple to read. I agree with many of your points. Technology definitely does affect social interactions. Whenever I go out to eat with my boyfriend, we give each other five minutes to be on our phones and then we must place our phone upside down and far away. That way, we actually pay attention to each other rather than a screen.
